General Description

Executive, Corporate Communications is responsible for the execution of ECERDC’s Communications strategies and activities with the aim of creating and maintaining a positive Brand of ECER as well as enhancing its image among the public, stakeholders and investors.

The executive plays a key role in supporting the Manager, Corporate Communications  in communicating key messages on ECER to these target groups through various communications  platforms be it Above The Line (ATL) or Below The Line (BTL) such as print, electronic and online/social media, both local and international.

Job Activities:

1. Branding Management

• Assist Manager Corporate of Communications in planning, implementation and monitoring of annual Branding strategy plan to ensure optimal Branding opportunities and awareness of ECER events/projects through various communications channels of ATL & BTL.
• Liaise and effectively discuss an efficient Branding plan with the creative agency according to the Company’s Branding directions.
• Assist in monitoring the effectiveness of the planned Branding programs through the agreed performance indicators.

2. Communications Management
   Marketing Communications

• Assist in the conceptualization, strategizing  and execution of  all marketing communications programs and collaterals to enhance the image of all ECER projects, for a continuous branding exercise which includes:
  • Work together with product owners to prepare product / project brief for production of new collaterals as well updates on produced / current available collaterals
  • Brief creative agency on the production of required collaterals as well as media plan / advertisement requirement
  • Solicit cost estimates and negotiate pricing
  • Monitor, quality control and arrange for necessary approval on production of collaterals
  • Prepare relevant documents related to expenses and payment including Quotation Plan and Management Paper for management approval.
• Assist in coordinating and managing of ECER Corporate & Investment Promotion Events - drive, brief consultants in preparing for necessary materials and arrangements for an event which includes :
  • Work together with product owners to prepare product / project brief for event planning and management
  • Brief event agency on the event related requirements
  • Solicit cost estimates and negotiate pricing
  • Monitor, quality control and arrange for necessary approval on event planning and management
  • Prepare relevant documents related to expenses and payment including Quotation Plan and Management Paper for management approval.

General Qualification Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing, Mass Communications, Advertising/Media or equivalent from a recognized University.
• Minimum 4 years working experience in the area of communications.
• Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of Branding and Communications.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills in Bahasa Malaysia & English.
• Ability to multi-task at all times and manages tight deadlines.
• Creative and pro-active and a sharp eye for details.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage time for peak performance
• Pleasant personality.

The Webmaster is responsible for the design and maintenance of ECERDC's website (www.ecerdc.com.my) and other online platforms with the aim of creating and maintaining a positive image of ECER and enhancing its brand among the public, stakeholders and investors.

The Webmaster will support Manager of Media Relations in communicating ECER’s key messages to these target groups through various electronic/online media platforms.

Job Activities

• Designing and maintaining ECERDC's corporate web pages, with emphasis on graphics, animation and functionality.
• Ensuring timely and accurate delivery/postings of ECER's latest news, tender notices and special announcements on ECERDC's website and online newsletter.
• Managing technical-related issues of ECERDC's corporate website, such as the maintenance of domain name and website security features, and ensuring that the issues are promptly resolved.
• Developing the website infrastructure and related application(s), as well as ensuring that the website is kept up-to-date with the latest IT trend and technologies.
• Monitoring and compiling internet traffic reports for ECERDC’s website on a monthly basis, as well as monitoring the technical performance of the web server
• Design, develop and circulate ECERDC’s online newsletter to all ECERDC staff on a timely basis.
• Working closely with ECERDC clusters/divisions to ensure the accuracy of delivered information.
• To plan, design and execute the Intranet.

General Qualification Requirements

1. Possess a Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or any other IT related discipline from a recognized University.
2. Must have 3-5 years of relevant working experience in IT. 
3. Proficiency in scripting/coding languages such as HTML, AJAX, XML, CSS, Javascript, ASP, PHP and MySQL.
4. Working knowledge of Microsoft and other platforms.
5. Proficiency in Content Management Systems such as Kentico, Joomla and others.
6. Strong in Photoshop, Illustrator, Macromedia Flash and Dreamweaver; proficient in Flash animation and dynamic design will be advantages.
7. Posses good communication  skills in both written and verbal. Ability to work fast and under tight schedules.  A good team player, yet able to work independently with minimal supervision.
