There are many attractions for students planning their education at the ECER:
 
1. ECER will be the rapid development Region
Investment of RM 112 billion is expected to generate development and landslides will experience rapid economic activity while providing employment and business opportunities.
 
2. 500.000 occupation opportunity
It is estimated that more than 500,000 jobs will be created by 2020. Employment opportunities not only many, but also a variety of expertise and specialization. Students in the ECER will be able to enjoy a variety of careers. Many jobs will be created in the tourism sector supply chain, oil, gas and petrochemicals, manufacturing, agriculture and education.
 
3. Centre of facilities and quality education
The bulk of investment in the ECER will be allocated to upgrade the quality of existing university and establish public and private universities, colleges, polytechnics, colleges and community centers vokesyional. These include:
  • Establishment of Centre of Excellence focused on developing industry best practices and research activities with the private sector and the academia.
  • Establishment of Knowledge Park (Taman Ilmu), at Besut, Terengganu, which was conceived asEduCity or Urban Education Twon and tourism education center.
  • Establishment of four new universities: Universiti Darul Iman Terengganu (UDM), Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), Universiti Malaysia Pahang and Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT).
     
4. Carry out special programs to meet industry need
New educational institutions will carry out specific courses to meet the needs of the economy. This course aims to meet the energy needs of industrial workers, ensure the use of expertise, and where necessary, re-balancing the needs and the supply of labor.
 
5. Appropriate educational environment
Without the hustle and bustle of the city, landslides offer positive and healthy environment for the development of young minds. Students can enjoy nature, beach, forest activities and fun with a rich cultural heritage and history, take part in the annual scene and cultural diversity.
