• A sanitary landfill to serve the major districts of Kota Bharu and Kuala Terengganu. It is noted that the city of Kuantan has an existing sanitary landfill but additional sanitary landfills in Pahang might be required.
• New incinerators are to be provided in the islands of Redang, Kapas and Perhentian Besar.
• The existing incinerator in Tioman is to be upgraded to ensure that it is capable to handle solid waste generated on the island.

Toxic Waste
For toxic and hazardous waste, a feasibility study will be carried out to
provide a disposal/treatment facility within the ECER.
