Oil, Gas & Petrochemical

The ECER has long benefited from the oil & gas activities. The next phase of development is to diversify into plastics and plastics-based industries.

Manufacturing

The ECER Master Plan details a range of development activities for growing the manufacturing sector. Key manufacturing sectors are automotive, boat-making and repairs, halal food processing, rubber wood processing and production, handicraft and textile, agro-based processing and production, palm oil processing, and electrical or electronics manufacturing.

ECER invites interested parties to participate in any part of the supply chain for the above sectors.

Agriculture

Agriculture has long been a mainstay economic activity in the Region.

The ECER will further improve agriculture and move towards high yield, large scale commercial farming and increase non-farm opportunities and production. It pays equal attention to both upstream and downstream activities for crops, livestock and fisheries.
