Key Projects

A key initiative in the downstream petrochemical industry includes the proposed Kertih Plastics Park (KPP) which is the first of its kind in the country. Located within the PETRONAS Petroleum Industry Complex (PPIC), the Plastics Park will expand employment and entrepreneurship opportunities as well as create demand for other ancillary services. It will also attract domestic and foreign investments in plastics and plastics-related industries.

The Plastics Park’s development will be supported by world class research and development (R&D) input from the PETRONAS Polymer Technology Centre (PPTC), a market-driven technology centre which will enhance customer technical services and product improvement and development for plastics applications.
