There lies great potential and opportunity in real estate development, particularly in leisure, commercial, residential and industrial properties.

It is expected that real estate development in the ECER will grow rapidly due to development of key clusters in tourism, manufacturing, oil, gas & petrochemical, agriculture and education that will create spin-off construction activities.

Therefore, the strategies for implementation and growth are:

  • Develop commercial areas with ‘new trends’
To make ECER “Distinctive- Dynamic-Competitive”, a theme is required to attract various sectors. The ECER theme has to take into consideration its environment, cultural heritage and richness in nature.

  • New attractive incentives scheme
ECER has prepared a range of incentives scheme to encourage construction and infrastructure development in the Region, particularly in developing housing, leisure, commercial and industrial properties.

  • Enhancing transport sector
Enhancement of transport sector will enhance real estate development by making residential, leisure and commercial properties more accessible, attractive and valuable.

  • Enhancing infrastructure and utilities
Improving major utilities, such as water, electricity, and fixed line infrastructure, as well as the sewerage and solid waste management systems will also increase the value of ECER properties and construction industry.

  • Optimising Malay Reserve Land
Creating a special ‘platform’ for Malay Reserve Land owners to “unlock” their property value and maximize returns on investment
    .
