Description

Integrated Coastal Resort for domestic tourists, tourists from Thailand and package tourists from East Asia. Full resort facilities for entertainment, water sports and family recreation.

Project Rationale

This large inland lagoon has considerable potential for the development of family oriented water related tourism activities. The area’s close proximity to Thailand offers good cross border tourism opportunities to attract Thai tourists as well as others passing through from Thailand. Pantai Sri Tujuh is an existing tourism development while Tumpat is an established town with close linkages to both Pengkalan Kubor and Kota Bharu.

With the improved road connections from Thailand at Pengkalan Kubor and improved road and public transportation accessibility from Kota Bharu to Tumpat it is expected that a large number of local as well as foreign tourists could be attracted to this unique location.
