In order to elevate
tourism development in the ECER, several strategies have been
identified:

To develop
integrated strategic tourism flagship projects
– by embarking on mainland coastal and urban development
projects in identified areas

To enhance
capability building and entrepreneurship skills
– by having training programmes that prepares local
workforce for the tourism boost

To intensify
tourism marketing and promotion programmes –
by designing holidays packages and penetrate target market
effectively

To craft a
strong destination brand that will deliver tourist expectations
– selling the distinct uniqueness and charm that
can only be found in the ECER

To showcase
local arts and crafts as tourism products –
by promoting and packaging culture & heritage programs
within each tourism subsectors

To improve
air, land and maritime infrastructure to have
greater connectivity to the ECER as tourist destination
of choice.
