For The Rakyat
Suri@Home is a socio-economic development programme designed for women in ECER, especially housewives and single mothers with mobility constraints. Suri@Home encourages them to engage in home-based businesses such as tenun, songket weaving and vermicompost, as a means to help them earn regular additional income. Anchor companies have been appointed to provide training to the participants and market their products.

I am grateful for being selected to join this programme. I would like to be a songket entrepreneur but there are still a lot more for me to learn. I earn an average monthly income of RM2,000. As a result of this programme I have been offered to be a designer and trainer at Fadhizan Store. I hope that this programme will continue to be conducted so that other women in ECER can benefit too.
I am grateful for being accepted as a participant of Suri@Home. I never have had any employment because I do not have any paper qualification. The income that I get has helped to lessen my husband’s burden and to support our daily requirements.
