Assalamualaikum dan Salam Sejahtera. As 2025 comes to a close, I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has contributed to ECERDC’s progress.
First, terima kasih to all our staff in Putrajaya, Pahang, Kelantan, Terengganu, and Johor — from management to field officers and support teams. Your resilience, professionalism, and dedication have been the foundGambareeCoGation of our achievements this year.
Setinggi-tinggi penghargaan juga kepada Kerajaan Persekutuan, Kerajaan Negeri, para pelabur, rakan strategik, dan media. Sokongan anda semua telah memacu usaha kolektif dalam menjayakan visi ECER sebagai Wilayah Maju yang Distinctive, Dinamik, dan Berdaya saing.
Melihat kembali perjalanan sepanjang tahun 2025, jelas bahawa banyak kejayaan telah kita capai bersama. Tahun ini bukan sahaja memperlihatkan penyelesaian projek-projek berimpak tinggi, tetapi turut memperkukuh asas pembangunan yang mampan, inklusif dan berdaya saing untuk masa hadapan.
This year, ECERDC completed projects that are transforming the East Coast.
The Pusat Konservasi Penyu di Cherating has become a new icon for eco-tourism, while Kelantan’s GMCC and Johor’s Jemaluang Dairy Valley strengthen local dairy production. In Terengganu, the SME Complex Fasa 1B at Kerteh Biopolymer Park and the upcoming KTAR2 airport link is expected to enhance industrial ecosystems and connectivity.
Infrastructure projects nearing completion, like the Promenade Kuala Terengganu City Centre and road upgrades to Taman Negara Johor, will further boost economic activity and tourism, creating tangible benefits for communities.
Keseluruhan projek ini bukan sahaja mengubah landskap fizikal, tetapi turut membawa impak sosial, ekonomi dan komuniti yang signifikan. Ia mencerminkan mandat ECERDC sebagai pemangkin pembangunan wilayah, memastikan pertumbuhan yang inklusif, dirasai oleh semua lapisan masyarakat, dan sampai ke setiap pelosok kawasan ECER selaras dengan dengan aspirasi Ekonomi MADANI dan teras strategik yang digariskan di bawah Pelan Pembangunan ECER.
From an investment perspective, 2025 has been exceptional. ECERDC has exceeded its annual investment target to achieve RM10.1 billion in realised investments, with RM12.4 billion committedinvestments, spanning across the manufacturing, oil & gas, tourism, agriculture, and services industries — a strong signal of investor confidence and the ECER’s competitiveness.
These investments reflect strong investor confidence, a stable and supportive policy environment, and the increasing competitiveness of the ECER as a destination of choice for long-term, high-value investments.
Entering 2026, we will focus on four strategic thrusts: transforming ECER into a national Food Basket, developing memorable tourism destinations, advancing high-value manufacturing with green tech, and boosting the marine economy. The imminent East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) will further enhance connectivity, unlocking new markets and reducing logistics costs.
Kejayaan ECERDC adalah hasil kerjasama semua — kerajaan, sektor swasta, komuniti, dan seluruh warga kerja. Momentum ini mesti diteruskan dengan tekad dan semangat kolektif, memastikan peluang dan kemakmuran dapat dirasai oleh semua.
