Renewable Energy Zone (RE Zone) for Industries

ECERDC invites investors to participate in developing Renewable Energy Zones across the Region’s industrial parks, a key initiative under Malaysia’s National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR). With vast land availability and strong industrial demand, ECER is well-positioned to lead the expansion of solar energy capacity for commercial and industrial users.

Through mechanisms such as the Corporate Green Power Programme (CGPP) and Third-Party Access (TPA) framework, private developers can supply renewable power directly to industrial tenants and grid users. Potential zones include Kertih Biopolymer Park (KBP), Pahang Technology Park (PTP), and Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park (MCKIP).

By integrating renewable energy generation within industrial ecosystems, investors can benefit from long-term energy security, strengthen their ESG credentials, and support Malaysia’s national goal of achieving a 70 percent renewable energy share by 2050.
