The company, BASF PETRONAS Chemical Sdn. Bhd., is a joint venture established between BASF of Germany, one of the world’s largest chemical companies, and PETRONAS, Malaysia’s fully integrated oil and gas multi-national, under its subsidiary PETRONAS Chemicals Group to develop the Integrated Aroma Ingredients Complex and production facilities for Highly Reactive Polyisobutene (HR-PIB) and 2-Ethylhexanoic Acid.
TOSOH ADVANCED MATERIALS SDN. BHD.
This is a subsidiary of Tosoh Corporation, a Japanese chemical and specialty products and materials group comprising over 100 companies worldwide with multi-ethnic workforce of more than 12,000 people. Tosoh is the Group’s first overseas high-silica zeolite manufacturing plant, established in Malaysia to meet the rising global demand from petrochemical, environmental and automotive industries for synthetic zeolites.
ARKEMA THEOCHEMICALS SDN. BHD.
Arkema is a French manufacturer of specialty chemicals and performance materials. The company has set up its thiochemicals plant in Kertih, Terengganu. The thiochemicals platform produces methyl mercaptan for use as a synthesis intermediate in animal feed and dimethyl disulfide (DMDS). The development of this plant is consistent with the Group’s growth strategy in Asia, and strengthens Arkema’s position as the world leader in the production of high added value sulphur derivatives.

ALAM DINGIN AIR-CONDITIONING ENGINEERING SDN. BHD.
Alam Dingin Air Conditioning is operated by a group of experienced Bumiputeras and provides Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and related works to the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Industries in Malaysia. Under TERAJU@ECER programme, the company is undertaking the construction of a new fabrication plant for the manufacturing of HVAC which is being marketed to the oil and gas industry throughout Malaysia. The company has also upgraded its existing machines and equipment to increase air-conditioning system capacity.
