Manager, Project Management Office

POSITION                    : MANAGER, PROJECT MANAGEMENT OFFICE (PROJECT MONITORING I)
DIVISION                    : CORPORATE STRATEGIC PLANNING
LOCATION                 : PUTRAJAYA

Major Responsibilities

  1. Plan, prepare and coordinate with other divisions to finalize the technical input for the RMK budget application and subsequent annual Development Budget.
  2. Facilitate the key-in of project technical input for the Budget Application into MyProjek System and update the implementation status on a monthly basis or “as and when” required by ICU, JPM.
  3. Facilitate the application of Notice of Change (NOC) for project whose scope and/or cost have varied from original approval particularly the technical input.
  4. Monitor and oversee project implementation (on design, contract and construction matters) within specific scope, budget and time frame required.
  5. Identify gaps, provide intervention and update Senior Manager for escalation to Management.
  6. Monitor compliance of project management standards and guidelines.
  7. Review and qnalyse the weekly progress reports  on progress against planned milestones, resource requirements (budget), issues and dependencies.
  8. Prepare reports for internal and external.
  9. Facilitate the execution of Value Assessment Lab, Value Management Lab and Value Engineering Lab for the approved projects.
  10. Maintain good working relationship with the relevant Federal and State Government agencies/authorities and other related stakeholders.
  11. Provide intervention measures for improvement of work processes.

Position Requirements

  1. Possess a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering/Architecture/ Quantity Survey/Building Science/Construction Management or any other related discipline from a recognised university.
  2. Minimum six (6) years of relevant working experiences in construction/project management and reporting roles of substantial similar core business areas as ECERDC.
  3. PMP qualification is an added advantage.
  4. Able to collate information and organise material into manageable form.
  5. Ability to do analysis and application of collected data/information to resolve problems is highly required.
  6. Strong skills in Microsoft Office and MS Project/Primavera applications is an added advantage.
  7. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective sourcing of required information from various sources and required tactful dealings with relevant staff, management and other key stakeholders of ECERDC.
  9. Able to multitask and deliver results.
