Senior Manager, Business Development

POSITION   : SENIOR MANAGER, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
DIVISION    : CORPORATE STRATEGIC PLANNING
LOCATION  : PUTRAJAYA

Major Responsibilities

  1. Formulate and strategize the implementation plan for Manufacturing and Tourism projects.
  2. Review and validate preparation of the implementation plan by Managers and Senior Executives.
  3. Develop Business Strategy and Implementation Plan (BSIP) and Feasibility Studies to meet the objectives of ECER Master Plan related to Manufacturing and Tourism Projects (“said economic clusters”).
  4. Ensure effective implementation of business development programmes, projects and initiatives for the said economic clusters.
  5. Facilitate the integration and consolidation of the business projects in line with the overall ECERDC Master Plan specifically for the said economic clusters.
  6. Review, monitor and report on the implementation of business strategies of the said clusters.
  7. Act as the Secretariat to the Project Investment Committee (PIC) whose primary function is to provide direction on policy matters pertaining to the appointment of Anchor Company or Implementing Agency.
  8. Manage the governance of the PIC for the evaluation and selection process of private investors to commercially invest, operate and manage selected ECERDC projects in the Agribusiness sector.
  9. Maintain good working relationships with relevant Federal and State Governments agencies/authorities and other related stakeholders
  10. Execute strategic alliances and partnerships with industry players and government agencies to achieve the set objectives.
  11. Plan and execute continuous improvement initiatives.
  12. Review and update current SOP and work guidelines.

Position Requirements 

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/ Finance/ Economics from a recognised University.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of working experience in business evaluation/feasibility study/ business economics.
  • Experience in related industries such as Tourism, Manufacturing and Agribusiness is an added advantage.
  • Wide business knowledge across industries.
  • Familiar with the preparation of board/management papers and proposals, tender documents and involved in project evaluation.
  • Possess strong leadership skills, relationship-building skills, communications and presentation skills, negotiation and marketing skills.
  • Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Willing to travel.
