Furthermore, Mayflower Group has joined Asia RV as the first rental partner for Knaus Tabbert AG’s RV in Malaysia. This partnership enables travelers to explore the beauty of Malaysia in ultimate comfort and luxury, setting new standards in the country’s leisure and tourism industry.

Also present were TPr. Hj. Hassan bin Yaakob, Deputy Director General of Town and Country Planning, PLANMalaysia; TPr Dr. Chee Ping Ngang, Director of Research and Development Division, PLANMalaysia; YBhg. Dato’ Baidzawi stated that ECERDC has been spearheading the RV industry development since 2021 and had facilitated multiple visits by the delegation from Caravaning Verband e.V. (CIVD), which represents German RV players to the ECER region to explore investment and business opportunities in the RV industry, as well as identify potential locations to develop RV parks in ECER.

ECERDC in its effort to establish ECER as the RV hub of Asia and a preferred investment destination for RV makers, RV components suppliers, and RV park operators had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CIVD in Germany during an investment mission in June 2022. ECERDC has also signed a Memorandum of Collaboration with Knaus Campingparks in August 2022 to develop RV camping parks in the ECER region.

ECER region, which is blessed with lush rainforests, pristine beaches, islands, cultural and heritage richness has immense potential for the growth of RV tourism. Pantai Hiburan Rompin in Pahang has been earmarked to be developed as the first RV park in ECER.

ECER, which covers the states of Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, and the districts of Mersing and Segamat in Johor, is a rapidly transforming region that is steadily positioning itself as a distinctive, dynamic, and competitive destination for investments.

The East Coast Economic Region Development Council (ECERDC) is a statutory body established to spearhead the execution and implementation of the East Coast Economic Region (ECER) Master Plan. ECERDC plays a lead role in setting the directions, policies and strategies for the socio-economic development of ECER by promoting and facilitating investments into the Region.
