PETALING JAYA: Construction firm Fajarbaru Builder Group Bhd has secured a contract worth RM20.96mil for the proposed construction and completion of the Kuantan Port City link road in Pahang.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company disclosed that it had received a letter of acceptance from the East Coast Economic Region Development Council as the contractor for Package 4 of the project.
The work package comprises the main access road as well as primary infrastructure and utilities for the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park.
The contract period of 78 weeks commences from Aug 22, 2016 to Feb 18, 2018.
Fajarbaru expects the contract to contribute positively to its earnings and net assets for the financial year ending June 30, 2017 (FY17) and FY18.
Fajarbaru’s shares closed unchanged at 53.5 sen yesterday.
