Manager, Business Development (Manufacturing)

POSITION          : MANAGER, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (MANUFACTURING)
DIVISION          : CORPORATE STRATEGIC PLANNING
LOCATION       : PUTRAJAYA

Major Responsibilities

  1. Develop business strategies and proposals to support the planning and development of manufacturing clusters aligned with the ECER Development Plan.

  2. Coordinate and track implementation of approved Business Strategy and Implementation Plan (BSIP).

  3. Prepare the RMK Development Expenditure (DE) annual budget application (where required), monitor the utilization and submit monthly report to Senior Manager.

  4. Plan, coordinate, execute (where required) and monitor the implementation of manufacturing projects to ensure timely delivery within approved budget, scope, and timeline.

  5. Monitor and report policy changes by Federal, State & Local Authorities affecting the manufacturing sector and industrial parks to Management.

  6. Evaluate and assess manufacturing-related proposals received from external parties, if any, and recommend appropriate actions to Management for decision-making.

  7. Conduct research, compile and provide analysis on economic data from external and internal sources and produce presentations/reports for Management consumption on economic cluster identified for ECER.

  8. Liaise and build strong working relationships with Federal and State Governments, Statutory Bodies, Authorities, Agencies, industry players, industry associations, and other Stakeholders to support project implementation and foster collaboration.

  9. Prepare various presentations/proposals for internal and external consumption.

  10. Carry out any other duties assigned by Management related to manufacturing development, investment facilitation and regional economic development initiatives.

 

Position Requirements

  1. Possess a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Business Administration/Accounting/ Finance/Economics or any other related discipline from a recognised university.

  2. Minimum six (6) years of working experience in corporate finance/business or strategic planning/programme management.

  3. Experience in related industries such as Manufacturing and Marine Industry is an added advantage.

  4. Wide business knowledge across industries.

  5. Key competencies required include ability to do analysis and application of collected data/information, stakeholder management, multitasking and managing tight deadlines.

  6. Familiar with preparation of board/management papers and proposals, tender documents, presentations and the like.

  7. Good command of Bahasa Melayu and English.

  8. Willing to travel.
