Manager, Strategic Planning

POSITION: MANAGER, STRATEGIC PLANNING
DIVISION: CORPORATE STRATEGIC PLANNING
LOCATION: PUTRAJAYA

Major Responsibilities

  1. Devise and recommend a strategic planning framework and provide strategic planning support for ECERDC and to other strategic initiatives including the analysis of reports and studies by Government.
  2. Facilitate the preparation of analysis report on Government’s policies including, but not limited to environmental, physical plan and strategic studies.
  3. Monitor and analyse the development of the economy, industry, markets and regulatory environment related to ECER and submit report Senior Manager.
  4. Highlight policy changes by Federal, State & Local authorities to the Management and disseminate the changes to Management.
  5. Liaise with the Federal and State Governments, Statutory Bodies, Authorities, Agencies and other Stakeholders.
  6. Prepare various strategic papers/presentations/proposals for internal and external consumption.
  7. Carry out any other duties assigned by Management related to regional economic development initiatives.

Position Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Economics/Spatial Planning/Finance/Business Administration/Accounting or any other related discipline from a recognised university.
  • Minimum six (6) years of working experience preferably in business development, strategic planning, or economic policy formulation.
  • Familiar with preparation of board/management papers, strategic frameworks and proposals.
  • Key competencies required include strategic thinking, stakeholder management, analytical capabilities and results focused with an ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Good command of Bahasa Melayu and English.
  • Willing to travel.
