Senior Manager, Corporate Communications


POSITION        : SENIOR MANAGER, CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS

DIVISION        : CORPORATE STRATEGY

LOCATION      : PUTRAJAYA

Major Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Communications Leadership
    • Lead the implementation of integrated communication strategies that enhance ECERDC’s visibility, credibility and stakeholder engagement across all platforms.
    • Develop the internal communications strategy and lead the execution of the approved internal communications plans.
  2. Divisional Oversight and Performance Management
    • Oversee the planning, coordination, and performance of three key units:
      1. Brand & Events
      2. Media Relations
      3. Creative & Digital Media
    • Ensure alignment of communication outputs with corporate branding, stakeholder needs and approved KPIs.
    • Provide leadership in planning, budgeting, coaching and KPI tracking to drive continuous improvement within the division.
  3. Content, Editorial and Public Relations Management
    • Supervise the development of corporate materials including annual reports, media releases, articles, newsletters and brochures, ensuring quality, accuracy and bilingual consistency (English and Bahasa Melayu).
    • Oversee public relations and media management activities, including issue management, editorial direction, media engagement and strategic communications initiatives in collaboration with appointed vendors.
  4. Digital and Social Media Oversight
    • Drive the enhancement of ECERDC’s digital presence, including oversight of the corporate website, microsites and official social media platforms.
    • Guide the development of content strategies to strengthen online engagement an reinforce ECERDC’s brand positioning.
  5. Branding, Events and Creative Direction
    • Lead strategic direction for ECERDC’s brand positioning and identity across all communication and event-related activities.
    • Provide oversight for the planning and execution of corporate and investment promotion events, ensuring alignment with protocol standards and brand presence.
    • Guide the overall creative direction for ECERDC communications, including ATL and BTL materials, by working closely with the Creative and Digital Media unit and appointed creative vendors.
  6. Budget, Governance and Agency Management
    • Monitor and manage the division’s budget, ensuring prudent utilisation and alignment with approved allocations.
    • Oversee the performance and deliverables of retainer creative and event agencies, and appointed PR and communication-related vendors, in line with ECERDC’s mandate and brand direction.
    • Support implementation of corporate governance practices and internal communication initiatives to foster a unified organisational culture.
  7. Others
    • Oversee the administration and handling of public enquiries including ensuring timely responses and coordination with relevant units.
    • Ensure proper handling of related procurement and administrative matters, including preparation of documentation for management approval and compliance with internal processes.
    • Support other cross-functional tasks within the division as assigned by the General Manager.

Position Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Business Administration/ Marketing/ Communications, preferably majoring in Advertising and Public Relations or any other related discipline from recognized University.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of working experience in area of communications.
  • Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of Branding and Communications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in Bahasa Melayu & English.
  • Ability to multi-task at all times, manage tight deadlines and provide the best solutions during difficult situations.
  • Creative and pro-active, with editorial skills and a sharp eye for details.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage time for peak performance.
