Kelantan

With its proximity to Southern Thailand and the Indochina region, Kelantan plays a key role as the Cross-Border Gateway and a strategic logistics centre for the northeast of Peninsular Malaysia.

The State’s economy has shown steady expansion over the past decade, supported by services related to tourism and logistics, together with agriculture and growing manufacturing activities. Looking ahead, Kelantan’s economic growth is expected to strengthen further through increased tourism flows, modernised agriculture, and rising cross-border trade.

By 2030, Kelantan’s GDP is projected to increase from RM28 billion to RM46 billion, reflecting new opportunities for private investment across tourism, logistics, and agro-based industries as connectivity and regional linkages continue to improve.
