ECERDC’S DECORATED BOAT FEATURES ITS KEY PROJECTS IN TERENGGANU
ECERDC showcases key development projects and human capital development programmes implemented in Terengganu on its decorated boat in celebration of the silver jubilee of His Royal Highness the Sultan of Terengganu’s 25th year reign
KUALA TERENGGANU, 29 SEPTEMBER 2023: The East Coast Economic Region Development Council (ECERDC) participated in the Decorated Boat Competition (Pertandingan Bot Berhias) in conjunction with the Silver Jubilee Celebration marking 25 years of His Royal Highness the Sultan of Terengganu’s reign. Themed “Memacu Pembangunan Mampan dan Lestari di ECER”, ECERDC’s decorated boat displayed a replica of the Kuala Terengganu Drawbridge which is now an iconic landmark and an artist’s impression of the upcoming KTCC Promenade project which is set to become the next tourist hotspot in Kuala Terengganu.
The boat also featured ECERDC’s development projects such as the Kertih Biopolymer Park, the Hybrid Solar System project on Kapas Island and the Artificial Headlands project in Teluk Lipat, Dungun. The boat’s décor also featured chili fertigation, ECERDC’s agribusiness project under IPR-INTAN which will commence in Setiu early next year. The design of ECERDC’s
decorated boat symbolises ECERDC’s commitment and dedication in spearheading infrastructure and socio-economic development that are both holistic and sustainable.
ECERDC’s boat was also graced by the attendance of three (3) successful entrepreneurs under ECERDC’s human capital development programmes such as empower ECER and entrepreneur ECER. They were Siti Zaida binti Wahab, a tuition centre owner, Kartini binti Ismail and Nurul Adila binti Mat Zaffi, owners of beauty salons in Terengganu.
