Pahang Grows Its Agrobusiness Roots

TWO fast-progressing projects in Pahang will transform the state into an agrobusiness hub under the East Coast
Economic Region (ECER) development plan.
The first is a RM50 million dairy farm located on a 1,102-acre site in Bandar Muadzam Shah. To be developed in
four stages, the farm is expected to produce more than eight million litres of milk this year.
The second is the 8,896-acre Permanent Fruit Production Project (PFPP) set up to establish a fruit-based food
industry.
One of the 11 PFPPs is in Lancang, where phase one covering 198 acres is completed and phase two occupying
395 acres planted with papaya, banana, jackfruit and guava will be completed by mid-2009.
