HULU TERENGGANU, Aug 18 — Thirty entrepreneurs in Terengganu recorded more than RM483,000 in sales during the four-day Beautiful Terengganu promotion held in Singapore from Aug 13.
State Rural Development, Entrepreneur, Cooperative and Consumerism Committee chairman Nawi Mohamad said the Beautiful Terengganu campaign was held in conjunction with Visit Terengganu Year 2017.
“Alhamdulillah, we succeeded in collecting more than RM483,000 in sales in the four days during which we brought in 19 entrepreneurs under the Entrepreneurial Development Foundation, nine under the East Coast Economic Region Development Council and two under the Agriculture Department.” Nawi said this to reporters after the Terengganu Entrepreneur Dialogue Programme 2016 here, today.
Meanwhile, he said the committee with the cooperation of the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry (KPDNKK)’s state office would go to the ground and meet with its ‘Rakan KPDNKK’ in conjunction with Aidiladha.
“We noted that during every festive season the demand for raw material is very high and we together with KPDNKK would ensure that no traders would take advantage by charging excessively beyond the ceiling price. “We will hold a meeting with Rakan KPDNKK which currently has 2,471 members comprising consumers, cooperative members, media practitioners and non-governmental organisations before Aidiladha to get them to help us,” he said. — Bernama
