KUALA LUMPUR: The East Cost Economic Region (ECER) Development Council is inviting
qualified consultants and industry experts to register their interest to undertake
feasibility studies.
Registration forms and pre-qualification dossiers can be downloaded from their website
www.ecerdc.com/prequalforms or obtained via fax (+603 2331 0020) or e-mail
prequal@ecerdc.com. Requests for the forms must be submitted before Feb 18 and
completed forms returned by Feb 25.
Areas of expertise being sought include business or finance, specifically in market
analysis, business viability, financial feasibility, investment structure, corporate finance
and management structure.
Experts in socio-economic studies in the areas of poverty, commercial and industrial
community, and SME development, are encouraged to apply.
The project also requires specialists in the tourism, manufacturing, transportation,
agriculture, environment and infrastructure sectors.
The ECER is an economic development plan covering Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang and
Mersing in Johor, representing 51% of Peninsular Malaysia’s land mass.
It seeks to realign the economies of these areas so that the region is on par with the rest
of Malaysia.
